Below, you will find links to our pages of hyperlinks. They are divided generally by category with minimal comment. One of these days, I'll get around to organizing them properly. Because we've found so many resources, we've divided them up into several categories:
|LEGAL RESOURCES||ENTREPRENEURIAL RESOURCES|
BUSINESS NAME AVAILABILITY
ARTICLES AND RESOURCES TO HELP PICK
A COMPANY OR PRODUCT NAME
|VENTURE CAPITAL COMPANIES ON THE WEB|
|SEMINAR MATERIAL||OTHER USEFUL LINKS|
The Resources for Lawyers page contains links to Web sites and pages having to do with Business Law, links to government, including case law decisions, statutes and regulations, administrative agencies.
The Resources for Entrepreneurs page contains links to some sites we have found helpful or interesting on topics, such as drafting a business plan, doing market or demographic research or finding money for your business.
The Venture Capital page contains links to dozens of venture capital company Web sites, as well as to the local venture capital club and other financial resources.
The Business Name Availability page contains links to the Web sites of all fifty secretary of state Web pages, most of which will allow you to search online for the availability of a company name. It also contains a link to the United State Patent and Trademark Office Web site, where you can search for the availability of a trademark or service mark and cross reference infringement issues on any company name you pick. Additionally, there are links to some commercial sites, which have a "name engine" to allow you to research domain names for a Web presence of your own.
By offering this listing of links, we do not suggest that we have verified nor even necessarily agree with any of the information posted at any of them. We specifically do not certify any such information as being accurate. We also do not suggest that there is any affiliation with any person or entity hosting or providing content to any of these sites. In fact, with some limited exceptions, there is absolutely no affiliation with any of these sites. We provide these links merely as a starting place for your own research. The information is divided into the following categories:
Because of the large number of links on the above pages, we cannot necessarily always keep them up to date. Private sector sites disappear rapidly, as companies merge or go out of business entirely. As "government" faces initiatives to get online, and early adapters improve or reorganize their Web sites, even the government sites have started to rapidly change.
In order to keep this information helpful, we would appreciate your help in notifying us of broken or incorrect links, as well as of additional resources you have found helpful. We would therefore appreciate your assistance in notifying us of dead or incorrect links, as well as advising us of additional links on legal or entrepreneurial topics you have found helpful.
